Isidro Metapan will be completing their squad that will compete in the Clausura 2013 with the addition of two players in a bid to strengthen their base. The champions have not been very active in the market.

Newcomer Michael Funes and Derlin Romero will be added shortly to Isidro Metapan’s roster for the upcomingtournament. Both players have been endorsed by coach Edwin Portillo and the club’s board and have been offered proposals. The players should sign contracts with Metapan in the coming days.

Funes is a striker of Salvadoran-American nationality who has proven worthy of joining the CalerosHe is a product of the DC United youth academy in Washington DC where he featured in the U-23 reserve squad for the MLS team.

Romero, meanwhile, comes from Municipal Limeño and has transited between the first and second division formost of his professional career. The last team first division he played for was Vista Hermosa in the Clausura 2012.

Also, regarding the contract of the  Colombian Allan Laspina, Edwin Portillo indicated after the goalless draw in a friendly with Santa Tecla that the player did not meet the required expectations .

Michael Funes and Derlin Romero’s addition and the return of Andres Flores are the only highlights of IsidroMetapán for the upcoming tournament. The only other question is the departure of Paolo Suárez for GuatemalaCommunication which  is apparently close to fruition.
